Summary: From the author of the popular Weather Warden series comes the debut of an exciting new series set in Morganville, Texas, where you would be well advised to avoid being out after dark.
College freshman Claire Danvers has had enough of her nightmarish dorm situation. When Claire heads off-campus, the imposing old house where she finds a room may not be much better. Her new roommates don't show many signs of life, but they'll have Claire's back when the town's deepest secrets come crawling out, hungry for fresh blood.
Review: Nothing of a slow-pace to the start series of Book 1 to the Morganville Vampire's series. Claire is a truly likeable character. She can be easy to relate to. We see she's very smart and judged because of it. Claire doesn't let it bother her, though. She is always plowing on ahead. Always making new friends now that she's part of the dangerous town of Morganville. Full of either controlling vampires or crazy ones who'd love to have her for a snack. Action and great descriptive writing makes it very much a fun read, Book 1 in The Morganville Vampires makes any reader a fast fan of the series.
